If you are a student in Birmingham, we would love to welcome you to churchcentral. There are loads of ways you can get involved and whether you are in your first, second or final year, we want to get to know you, support you and pray for you during your time here in Birmingham.

Birmingham is the UK’s second largest student city, home to over 65,000 students. Students are therefore a big part of the church.

We currently have around 80 students representing Aston, Birmingham and Birmingham City universities but we would love to have many students from every university, every college and every course in the city. So, come to churchcentral and join us on our mission to reach the 65,000 students and make Jesus the most talked about person on campus.

My Story: Luke

Quotes

When I first came to University I was not a Christian. I had never really considered the existence of God until I was invited along to Alpha by one of my housemates. To start with I was quite sceptical, offering alternative explanations for whatever I heard. As the course went on I found that my questions were being answered and some of the things being said made more and more sense. When I was invited to a Sunday meeting at Churchcentral I found the church totally different to my view of what a church was. There were people my own age, they were friendly and welcoming, and they actually seemed to enjoy worshiping God. However I was still unsure exactly how it was possible to know God existed, so my friend recommended praying. Next Sunday came around and during a time of worship I started to pray and ask God to reveal himself to me. Then during the meeting a member of the church I didn’t know spoke something to me that explained my situation exactly – God had heard me! A few days later I became a Christian. Since then I have had lots of opportunities to get connected into the church. My life has been totally changed. I love church and am currently taking a year out to work for the Churchcentral and study on a FP Impact year.
