LEADERSHIP TEAM
Jonathan and Helen moved to Birmingham in 1996 in order to start the church. Jonathan leads the Churchcentral eldership team and carries primary responsibility for the preaching in the church. He teaches on a range of Newfrontiers training courses and also helps lead the 2020 Birmingham church planting network. Helen works as an elderly support worker with Karis Neighbour Scheme. They live in King's Norton and have two secondary school aged sons.
Russ is an elder at Churchcentral and leads the Lordswood site. He and Alex relocated from Brighton to Birmingham and now live in Bearwood with their two boys. Having left a career in sports car engineering Russ is now part of the full-time staff team. He oversees Life Groups, our children's and youth ministries and has responsibility for operations and communications. Alex leads the Bearwood toddler group and supports other local family outreach.
Mark, Jodie and their three children relocated to Oldbury almost ten years ago in order to be a part of Churchcentral. Mark is the head teacher of a primary school in Solihull and is also part of the church Leadership Team. Jodie works part time with Care for the Family.
Owen has lived in Birmingham since coming to Birmingham University over 15 years ago. He and Anna and their young daughter live in Weoley Castle. Owen works in HR for the West Midlands Police and heads up our King Edward's site. Anna is a professional Story-Teller.
Jonny graduated from the University of Birmingham and stayed in the city pursuing a career as an RE teacher before joining the church staff in 2011. He and Jemma have two young children and live in King's Norton. Jonny is responsible for overseeing our Alpha Courses. He is also part of the preaching team and heads up the church's creative arts ministries.
Another former Birmingham University student, Sam leads the Star City site. He and Suzie live in Erdington. Having taken a year out for Theological training and to serve as part of our FP Impact programme Sam now works for Network Rail. Suzie heads up business development for an IT company.
