GIVING

Why should I give?

All our worship is a response to God. This includes our financial giving which comes from a heart of gratitude and faith. God owes us nothing – yet he has given us everything we have out of sheer kindness, including his own Son. When we give gladly and sacrificially to the local church we are rightly using the resources he has entrusted to us: serving the advance of his gospel in Birmingham and beyond. Without imposing a specific percentage we want to invite you to join us in the true joy of generosity, thus becoming imitators of the giving God (2 Corinthians 9.6-11).

How should I give?

An offering is taken at the morning services. You can give via cash, cheque, debit or credit card.

Give regularly via one of the following methods:

  • Online Direct Transfer | Set up a direct transfer via personal online banking. Log on to your online banking and request to set up a donation to be made to Churchcentral, Sort code 40-52-40 Account Number: 00020965.
  • Standing Order (If you do not have online banking) | Please contact us for assistance with this method.
  • Online Giving | You can donate online through our Virgin Money Giving account (Standard bank charges are deducted from donations).

There is no set rule for giving, but we would encourage all members of Churchcentral to give by standing order wherever possible. This simply helps us have a clearer idea of the amount of money coming in, which in turn helps us plan more responsibly for the future. Likewise, if you are a UK tax-payer, we would encourage you to fill in a Gift Aid Form, which enables us to claim the tax back on your giving.

Tax efficient giving (Gift Aid)

If you are a UK tax payer, Churchcentral is able to claim back 25p in every pound that is donated from HMRC. You can download a form here (or complete one of the giving envelopes provided on a Sunday) and place it in the offering pot.

Churchcentral Finances

Churchcentral is both a registered charity (Registered charity: 1118562) and a limited company. If you would like to find out where our money has been spent, please click to visit the Charity Commission website site.

Being in Godly community is one of the most enjoyable experiences I've ever known. It's like being knitted into the family quilt, bearing many "patterns" but yet one family.
