In the Community | Alpha

The Alpha Course was launched back in 1993. Since then more than 7 million people all over the world have completed the Alpha course in churches, homes, schools, pubs and prisons.

Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, non threatening setting over a series of thought-provoking weekly sessions. It is low-key, friendly and fun, and is supported by all the main Christian denominations.

Churchcentral runs a number of Alpha courses for people of all walks of life. Why not take this opportunity to explore the meaning of life?

Alpha at Churchcentral

Alpha: Selly Oak
Join us at Selly Oak’s famous Selly Sausage on the Bristol Road (click here for a map) on Monday evenings from 1st February (concluding 22nd March). We’ll start at 7:30pm with a free meal and then continue the evening with a brief talk and an opportunity to discuss, debate, maybe ask those questions you’ve always want to. Come for all 8 evenings or just one or two if you wish.

If you would like more information, or are interested in coming to Alpha, please fill out the contact form.

We asked people who've done Alpha at Churchcentral to tell us what they thought. This is what they said:

"...very stimulating... The best part... for me was the chance to discuss issues, and we really got to the heart of the matter... we got a chance to come up with our own ideas and ask questions."
Chris

"It was quite an interesting discussion… that you wouldn't normally have in day to day conversation."
Louise

"It gave you food for thought and an opportunity to meet other people"
Cara

"It was very accessible to the people who were there"
Jim

"Lots of questions were answered and I really enjoyed it"
Liz
